Tuesday, July 8th

Hello Everyone!

I can hardly believe the 4th of July has come and gone! I hope you all had a wonderful, festive weekend with family and friends. I plan to have a 4th of August party to make up for it when I get back, so clear your calendars if you are in Arizona! I miss hamburgers, hotdogs and fireworks!!!

Things are very good here. I've been getting good grades on my tests, papers and projects, so I won't have to worry about passing. It's been very hard, intense work, but I've discovered more inner strength than I thought I ever had before. My Spanish is improving too. I enjoy my Advanced Conversation class the most because we have a great group of good-spirited, fun-loving people who manage to laugh, sing and dance at 7:30 M-W-F. That says a lot!

Our first session ends this Friday, so I'll have a day to relax and explore the outskirts of the city. I really want to go for a hike in the mountains and then I'm hoping to either go to Dolores Hildalgo (small town, very historical, important for understanding the history of Mexico's independence) or San Miguel (quaint town, tourist attraction). Then on Sunday, I'll be back with my nose in the books preparing for the second session to begin on Monday. Please pray that I survive the Theatre Class I chose as my elective. It's going to be tough! I already have a group of girlfriends dedicated to support one another. It's been a life-saver to study in small groups and have my roommate edit my papers and projects.

Well, that's it for now. Again, I hope everything is well in the states and I look forward to seeing you all in August.

Love,

Sarah

Kayla,

What a wonderful surprise to hear from you! Thanks for taking the time to write a comment. Does this mean you have your "electronics" back at the house? I'll start e-mailing you at your address now that I know you have access to a computer again.

I love and miss you very much. I really don't know how I can wait to see you again until next summer, so we're going to have to find another way to see each other before then. Are you having a good summer?

I love you,

Aunt Sarah
