Monday, July 14th

Hello everyone,

We had a chance to get out town this past weekend and I'll have to work on my new slideshow of Dolores Hildalgo (the history of Mexican Independence) and San Miguel de Allende (very beautiful, tourist town) so I can post them some time this week! It was nice to have a day to relax and enjoy a few out-lining areas before we started our new session today. We went to a movie Saturday night too. Super Agent 86 in Spanish! Very funny and I was surprised when the movie stopped in the middle for an intermission!!! Cultural difference, but greatly appreciated.

As I mentioned before, we started our second session today and I'm pleased to report that I like all of my new professors! I'm taking a grammar class (the subjunctive), a methods class and two theater classes. All three of my professors this session speak a dialect of Spain, so it is very interestinng for me to listen to their pronunciation. My theater professor is from the southern part of Spain, Andaluz, and he is very out-going, laid-back and loves to laugh and tell stories. I was very afraid of this class at first, but I think I can survive. It may actually be fun!

Nineteen days (but whose counting!!!) and then it's back to school with all of my new ideas. I hope you are all enjoying your summer and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you in person soon.

Love,

Sarah
