Wow! We started classes today and I have my work cut out for me! I LOVE my Advanced Conversation professor. We're in a small group for an hour on M-W-F just talking and discussing topics in Spanish. It's a fun group of people and we had a good time. No homework either!!!! Then there's my Second Language Acquisition class (which is my required methods course) and it's in English/Spanish, so that helps but the terminology in the class is going to be a challenge. We do our presentations in small groups and my first one is next Tuesday. Then there's my combination of Phonetics classes! That's where I say, "WOW!!" again. This combination of classes (11:30 - 1:30 every day; 4:30-6:30 M-W-F) is going to be my greatest challenge this session! It's completely in Spanish and I have 5 chapters and 5 journal articles to read by Wednesday including the practice exercises and outlines so I know if I'm truly understanding what I'm reading. I really like this professor. He's very humble and he's a good teacher too! My colleague that I used to work with at Akimel A-al Middle School had him as a teacher in her Masters program too in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
My house mate also arrived last Friday. She's from Illinois, just outside Chicago. Amber is very nice and extremely helpful. We speak Spanish 99% of the time together, so it's good practice. I'm grateful to have her as company in the house. We did some travelling last weekend, but now it's down to business. She wants to exercise each day too, so that will be motivation for me to release some stress.
That's it for now! Thanks for keeping in touch. Not sure when I'll be able to post more pictures, but I'll try to post some each week. I went to see the Mummy Museum last Saturday and it was very interesting.

Love the photos! Hope you are enjoying yourself and aren't too homesick. ;-)
Wow! You are on quite the adventure. It is so cool to see the city and where you are staying. I will be sure to share with the boys tomorrow. It doesn't sound like you are going to have much free time to even breath, blog, or miss your cuties.... okay, there is always time to miss them. We will pray for good classes, good stress releases (i.e. exercise), good housemate bonding, and good communication with the family in AZ, and Beth too:(
Love you!
Kitty
I'm so excited for you and so proud of you, Sarah. I'm looking forward to keeping up on your adventures. See you in late July!

Sharon, Kitty & Leila,
Thanks for the messages. You have no idea how nice it is to hear from people "back home." We just finished our first week of classes and I have to be honest, this is the most intense schooling I´ve ever received! My Phonetics class is very interesting but extremely time-consuming and challenging. The others are difficult too, but manageable. My Spanish is getting better too!
Love,
Sarah
