Wow! I´ve only been here for 2 days, but I already feel like I´m at home! I spent yesterday getting acquainted with the town and started to read some of my chapters for the first day of class. Today, Amber, my colleauge and housemate is arriving! I hope to do some more site seeing today and this weekend because classes start on Monday.
My schedule for classes starts at 7:30 each morning until 1:30, then I come home for lunch and eventually return to school at 4:30 for one more class. Eighteen credits in 6 weeks! This is going to be intense.
I´ve met a very nice family through the internet spot where I communicate with Gili & Calvin each night. They have offered to take me to Guadalajara one Saturday, so I hope we can make that happen. There are so many beautiful things to see right here too.
The weather here is probably the thing I appreciate the most. 70´s to 80´s and I have yet to experience the downpour of rain that everyone talks about. I guess you run for cover and wait it out because all the streets flood and you can´t walk anywhere. The pictures I posted under Guanajuato_Sarah show how steep the walkways are here. It´s like hiking Camelback Mountain every day!!!!

Hi Sarah! I am so sorry I missed your call. Things have been crazy here schedule-wise, and I couldn't get to you before you left.
What an amazing opportunity! I am so excited for you and very jealous of the weather there. The last three days here have been in the 105s to 115 in the Valley!
We leave for our two week haul next Weds. Raul and I are going to see Camden- I can't wait for that!!

I'm sure you've heard about Beth in the hospital. Mom will keep you up to date!
Our house got hit by lightening yesterday. Everything plugged in was fried! We have no phone, internet and no TV's. Everything will need replaced! So no one can blog you from our house, I'll have to keep you in the loop from work!
